If you need a game, we’ll find you one! Steve O’Keefe is the Membership Director at RIRC and is responsible for our Adult Tennis Game Arranging services. Whether you are looking for a singles game on a weekday afternoon or want to play doubles on a Sunday morning, we can help you. This service is free of charge to our members.

Adult Programs

Our Adult Program Director, Chuck Russell, has an Adult Program that is the most complete and comprehensive program in the Metropolitan area. No matter what your age or level of play, we have a clinic for you. Whether you are looking to get back into shape, compete at a higher level, or meet new people, ‘We’ve Got Your Game.’ With over 20 clinics and programs weekly, there is certainly a program suited for you. Membership is not required, however, online reservations are, for all programs.

Start when YOU want! Your first Clinic, Cardio Tennis, or Playing Program is FREE. Don’t have a racquet? Want to get yours checked out? Don’t worry, we have loaner racquets for you and our professional staff will let you know if your old racquet is right for you. There is no dress code, but we do ask that you come prepared in athletic clothing.
We have three different ways to get you started; Group Lessons, Playing Programs, and USTA Tournaments/Leagues. Take a look at all our programs and remember, your first time is FREE, so you really have nothing to lose!

Group Lessons

photo2Come learn from the best! Learn how to play winning doubles and try firsthand the same winning drills and games that each of our competitive players use. Our drills and games are designed to take your doubles game to the next level by adding more to your arsenal. Learn to serve & volley, communicate, and find winning strategies. Don’t know how to play tennis? Don’t worry, we also have Beginner and Advanced Beginner classes to get you back in the swing of things.

Match Play Programs

Battle fo the Sexes CongratsMatch play is the best way to tell how well you are implementing what you are practicing. Our Playing Programs provide opportunities for players to test their skills. Whether it is one of the many USTA Tournaments we host, Leagues, or Social Mixers, we provide singles and doubles match play constantly. Our Advanced Singles League, is NYC’s largest weekly late night singles league with over 60 individual players ranging from 4.0 to 5.0.

USTA Tournaments/Leagues

'13 MX8.0 Wilson-Arnot TeamWe host several USTA Tournaments throughout the year for men, women, intermediate, advanced, and professional level. We sponsor over 10 USTA League teams, each competitive within their Division, ranging from 3.0 (low intermediate) to 4.5 (advanced), and Mixed Doubles from 6.0 (low intermediate) to 8.0 (advanced intermediate). Each of these teams practice weekly at RIRC with one of our professionals to reinforce basic doubles skills, communication, and advanced doubles tactics.
