The Advantage Sea and Sports Camp is unmatched in the NY Metro area. Our location, The Maritime College campus is on a 55-acre scenic waterfront property at historic Fort Schuyler in Throggs Neck, NY. Located where the Long Island Sound meets the East River, the Throggs Neck peninsula was settled in 1642 and is one of New York City’s oldest and most beautiful communities. Our Sea and Sports camp is within 15 minutes of Manhattan, lower Westchester, and northern Queens.
The Maritime College Waterfront is one of the best facilities of its kind in the country. Waterfront activities feature kayaking, sailing, motor boating, fishing and marine ecology exploration. The college offers extensive indoor recreational facilities, a large gymnasium for basketball and other indoor games; aerobics studio; 3 racquetball courts; aquatic center; classrooms and meeting rooms; fitness center, and locker rooms. Outdoor facilities include sports fields, where campers will play softball, soccer, beach volleyball, and group games. We even have our own 19th Century Fort and museum!
The camp includes a tennis program at the New York Tennis Club, only 2 minutes from the Maritime college. The club features one of NY’s top year round youth tennis programs under the directions of Ajay Kumar. The club includes QuickStart and tournament training, 6 Har-Tru courts, and a beautiful country-like setting.
The Advantage Sea & Sports Camp is under the direction of Paul Fontana. Paul has been a camp leader for over 16 years, including Future Stars Camps in Westchester. Paul is also a basketball and tennis coach, and served as tennis director for Ivan Lendl’s Grand Slam club for 10 years.
