Red Ball Camp FAQs
Do you take beginners in your tennis camp?
Yes, we take all levels!
Is tennis indoors? Do you have air conditioning?
Roosevelt Island Racquet Club:
With the exception of our Gold ladder (highest level) players from 9 am – 12 pm, all of our tennis is indoors, in our air conditioned bubble. Our Gold ladder players often play tennis in the morning at The Octagon, a facility with outdoor tennis courts located on Roosevelt Island. Our drivers take them to and from the Octagon in our van.
Wagner:
Tennis is outdoors. In the event of rain or excessive heat, we can bring the campers inside and our spaces are air-conditioned.
What do I need to pack for camp?
Please pack a water bottle and a racquet. If your child does not have a racquet, we have racquets available to be borrowed. Please note, appropriate footwear is required to play on the tennis courts.
Does my child need their own tennis racquet?
No, your child does not need to bring their own racquet. We provide tennis racquets for campers to borrow during our tennis sessions. We do recommend that your child bring their own racquet if they have one.
