About Pawel

Some people teach tennis. Others build tennis communities. For more than 30 years, Pawel Meres has done both.

Before becoming a respected Tennis Director and high-performance coach, Pawel was one of Poland’s top junior players. He was ranked among the Top 10 Under-18 players in Poland in both singles and doubles, represented the Polish National Junior Team for five years, and finished runner-up at the Polish Under-18 National Doubles Championships. His competitive background laid the foundation for a coaching philosophy built on discipline, hard work, and a deep understanding of player development.

Today, Pawel is recognized as a dynamic Tennis Director, accomplished coach, and program leader who has dedicated his career to creating thriving tennis communities. He believes the best clubs combine outstanding coaching with a welcoming culture where beginners feel comfortable, competitive players are challenged, and every member enjoys being part of the game.

Throughout his career, Pawel has overseen every aspect of tennis operations—from recruiting and mentoring coaching staff to managing budgets, scheduling, leagues, tournaments, special events, junior academies, and adult programming. His leadership is hands-on and member-focused, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional experiences both on and off the court.

As a coach, Pawel has worked with nationally ranked juniors, collegiate athletes, WTA professionals, and thousands of recreational players. Whether developing elite competitors or introducing someone to tennis for the first time, he brings the same enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment to helping every player reach their potential.

Known for his approachable leadership style, Pawel believes the best Tennis Director is one who is present—walking the courts, talking with members, supporting the coaching staff, and ensuring every detail contributes to a first-class club experience.

He often jokes that his office has never really had four walls—it has always been somewhere between the baseline and the net. After more than three decades in the profession, his passion for the game remains as strong as ever, and he continues to build programs where competition, community, and a genuine love of tennis come together every day.
