Did you know? Advantage Tennis Clubs offers several convenient transportation options to and from Roosevelt Island for players enrolled in our Junior Program:
Tram Service
- A chaperone will meet players on the East Side at the following times:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 3:30 PM (tram departs at 3:45 PM)
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 4:30 PM (tram departs at 4:45 PM)
- After class, the chaperone will escort players back to the East Side:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: Departing the club at 6:15 PM and staying by the tram station until 6:30 PM to ensure all players are picked up safely.
- Mondays and Wednesdays: Departing at 7:15 PM and staying by the tram station until 7:30 PM.
- Please ensure your child has their own MetroCard for tram rides.
Ferry Service
- Our counselor will be at the Gantry Plaza ferry stop to check in players:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: Starting at 2:45 PM for the 3:10 PM ferry to Roosevelt Island.
- Mondays and Wednesdays: Starting at 3:45 PM for the 4:10 PM ferry to Roosevelt Island.
- After practice, children will return with the counselor via ferry:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 6:38 PM ferry, arriving at Gantry Plaza at 6:45 PM.
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 7:38 PM arrival back at Gantry Plaza at 7:45 PM.
- Please provide your child with two ferry tickets per day (one each way).
Van Service
- We offer:
- Pickup from Manhattan Plaza
- Optional door-to-door service (depending on location and availability)
- Van space is limited and must be reserved in advance.
Pricing
- Tram and ferry chaperone services are included in Junior Program enrollment.
- Van service pricing: Available upon request. Please contact us for a quote.
