Tennis for Kids in NYC- Advantage Junior Programs

Helping kids 8 to 18 get in the game!

Excitement. Motivation. Structure. That’s the Advantage Junior Tennis Program. Designed for recreational and tournament level junior players, it offers exceptional coaching from some of the finest tennis professionals in the business, tailored to each student’s level and goal. This year-round kid’s tennis program includes technical and tactical instruction, practice, competition and special events. There’s even a Performance Tennis Program for advanced players.

The kid’s tennis program provided by Advantage Tennis Club was designed to give children the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and cultivate a passion for the game of tennis. Our programs are tailored to fit each child’s level and goal.


Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club

The MPRC is the ideal setting to teach your kids to hone their skills in a friendly and fun environment. We offer junior players a year-round program with attentive, professional coaching.

Boys and girls of all levels enjoy fun drills and great play on full-sized courts. You can register any time – we welcome late starts and will prove it by prorating your fees!

2016 Fall/Winter Dates and Time

Classes are one hour long, held weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

Monday Classes – 18 weeks
September 19 – January 30
3-4pm, 4-5pm or 5-6pm

Friday Classes – 18 weeks
September 16 – February 3
3-4pm, 4-5pm or 5-6pm

2017 Winter/Spring Dates and Time

Classes are one hour long, held weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

New York Tennis Club

The Junior Program at NYTC is a comprehensive program for juniors of all ages who want to learn the sport of tennis in an exciting, progressive and structured setting. Programs are tailored to each student’s level and goal. Advancing players can progress to the Performance Tennis Program.

Outdoor 2015 Dates and Time
Classes are 1 hour, with an option to add Saturday afternoon Match Play for an additional cost

Summer Terms, Outdoors:

Term I: May 22 – July 3 (5 weeks)
Term II: July 4 – August 28 (8 weeks)
Term III: August 29 – October 16 (7 weeks)

New York Tennis Club — High Performance Junior Program

Salifu Mohammed is known for his  hands on teaching style and superior motivational skills. He specializes in preparing young players with a world-class technical/tactical foundation to succeed at the highest levels of tennis.  Salifu’s students have proved that his unique and individualized coaching techniques were fundamental in their development by succeeding in both local and national high level tournaments and most have received tennis scholarships to attend top Universities.

Roosevelt Island Racquet Club – All City Junior Tennis

We offer excellent indoor and outdoor facilities and a door-to-door transportation system. Since we started at Stadium Tennis Center in 1970, we have developed hundreds of ranked players and thousands of lifetime players.

2016-17 Dates and Times
Classes are 1, 1 1/2, and 2 hours, held weekly after school and on Saturdays.

13-week Fall Term: September 15 – December 17

11-week Winter Term: January 2 – March 18

12-week Spring Term: March 20 –June 12
