It’s the ideal choice for campers ages 5 to 12 who want to pursue lots of interests! Whether they want to learn, improve and compete in a sport, work on their art skills, or just have fun and make new friends it’s all available at NYC All-City Sports & Arts Camp.
Conveniently located on Roosevelt Island, the camp offers six core activities–tennis, soccer, softball, basketball, swimming and arts and crafts—that teach basic fitness, sports and arts skills.
Each week the Arts Program will focus on a theme such as Carnival, Technology, Mini Makers or New York, New York. Campers will build art projects related to the theme, topped off with a group event each Friday—an art exhibition, movie screening or carnival. Kids can also look forward to a specialty art workshop each day, such as Kite Making, Mask Making, Mono Printing, Shadow Puppets, Book Making, Finger Knitting, Origami, Handmade Paper, Candle Making, Papier-Mâché bowls, Cross-Stitch and Marble Paper.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Advantage Camp without tennis! Younger campers will love our QuickStart tennis, played using smaller courts, shorter racquets and slower bouncing balls. They learn basic strokes, scoring, strategy and sportsmanship. Older campers will play on the championship courts at Roosevelt Island Racquet Club.
There’s also time in the pool with instructional or recreational swimming. Plus basketball, indoor and outdoor soccer, softball, Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag and more! All activities come with a high level of supervision and engagement, thanks to our ratio of 1 staff member to every 6 campers, and take place at Roosevelt Island Sports Park, Roosevelt Island Racquet Club and nearby athletic fields.
Camp runs in weekly sessions from June 13 to September 2. We invite you to choose the weeks that work for your family and your schedule, consecutively or individually.
