New York Tennis Club Summer Junior Programs –
Under the personal direction of Tennis Director, Salifu Mohammed

There’s a fantastic summer waiting for your child at New York Tennis Club (NYTC)! We provide the perfect choices for competitive players who want to reach the next level, and girls and boys who just like to have fun on the courts! It’s all happening at NYTC in Throgs Neck, a leafy, quiet setting that’s perfect for summer and convenient to Manhattan, Queens and lower Westchester.

Junior Camp for Recreational Players

For ages 4 to 11 and includes tennis lessons, games and other fun activities. Choose full days from 9am to 4pm, or half days from 9am to 1pm.

High Performance Elite Academy for Competitive Players

Offers tournament training and match play for ages 12 and up. Girls and boys work on skills and drills, focusing on stroke production and improving their mental and court discipline. Full days only, 9am to 4pm.

Facilities at New York Tennis Club

The program will make use of the Club’s 6 HarTru outdoor courts in an idyllic outdoor setting complete with shade trees, gardens, a patio and a beautiful lawn. There’s also a rec room for games, movies and other indoor fun.

Director

Salifu Mohammed is Director of Tennis at NYTC and in charge of the Summer Junior Programs for recreational players as well as elite competitive players. He has extensive experience teaching tennis to children of all ages. He intends to leverage his background to create a social, dynamic and multi-leveled program for junior and adult players at NYTC. Summer programs will include match play for juniors, a tournament-training program, Elite Performance Junior Programs, adult clinics, weekend tennis socials and hosting tournaments.


Schedule

Camp runs for 10 weeks from June 20 to August 26.

Junior Camp for Recreational Players
Full-day Sessions Monday – Friday, 9AM to 4PM
Half-day Sessions Monday – Friday, 9AM to 1PM
High Performance Elite Academy for Competitive Players
Full-day Sessions Only Monday – Friday, 9AM to 4PM
